β€œI would often come here to spend time with my friends over drinks and some food. I love it in summer – there are great views of the weir out the front. I’d usually come on a Friday evening to finish off a week’s work.
There’s a great local community here and you always see familiar faces from the village, as well as plenty of tourists in the summer. It’s a mixed crowd, which gives it a great vibe. The GAA are very strong here and Moran’s would be a big support to the hurling club, who visit here after a match.
The week of the Galway Races is always great here, especially on the Friday. You meet everyone who is coming into Galway for the weekend from all over the country. It’s a brilliant time.
I’m looking forward to coming back here for fish and chips, having a drink, catching up with my friends. I’m looking forward to seeing the bar staff again too, who are always so welcoming.”
When the Races come back with a bang, we know Ronan and his pals will be celebrating in style at Moran’s Oyster Cottage. But no need to wait that long. Support your local bars and pubs now by grabbing a catch-up with friends over a drink.
