“I’ve been coming here for the last five years. The service is impeccable; they really can’t do enough for you. The staff are always lovely and warm and they always remember your face. They’re very chilled-out here, cosy and accommodating.

What I’m most looking forward to is coming here after a long day of work. It’s like a reward, and you don’t have to worry about anything. We usually always start a night here or end up here. I can’t wait to do that again.

Having a local is a great gift for the community that lives nearby. It’s a safe place for us. You always know they’ll look after you.

When I come here with friends, we always sit at our special table in the corner, and order the same food because we just love it so much! I love to try out different cocktails, they make a mean whiskey sour. I also love coming here before a night at the theatre. It’s our favourite place.”

Like Christa, we all can’t wait to bring back the tradition of after work drinks at @oldtownwhiskeybar. Support your local bars and pubs now by grabbing a catch-up with friends over a drink. Your first Jameson Ginger & Lime is on us.

There are many ways to Love Your Local, so start by dropping in to tell them how much you’ve missed them.
